Mileage: 10 miles

Ascent: The route is undulating with no big climbs.

Public Transport: Walk starts 10.00 at Altrincham interchange. For anyone wishing to get there from Manchester or Stockport by train,there is a departure from Piccadilly at 9.04, calling at Stockport at 9.20.

Suggested Ticket: If travelling by tram/bus to Altrincham, you can buy a day ticket. You catch the train from Styal Station to Manchester airport (single ticket bought on the train) then change to the tram/bus to Manchester city centre. No buses from Styal.

Meeting Point(s): Under the clock tower at Altrincham Interchange from 9.45 am. Please make your own way to Altrincham Interchange (Tram and Bus terminus).

Route: Altrincham Interchange - Bowden - Ashley Heath - Rossmill - Castle Mill - Styal Woods - Styal Station. Expected time back in Styal no later than 4.30 pm.
