Ascent: There is a climb up onto Werneth Low.

Public Transport: 9.31 train Piccadilly.

Suggested Ticket: To be advised nearer the date.

Meeting Point(s): At the entrance of the platform of the departing 9.31 am train, and at 9.52 am at Marple station straight after the arrival of the train. The walk starts from Marple station at 9.52 am, straight after the arrival of the train.

Route: Marple Station - Macclesfield Canal - Babyns Park - Etherow County Park - Werneth Low - Godley Cross - Hough Hill - Eastwood Nature Reserve - Canal - Stalybridge Station. Expected time back in Stalybridge Station - no later than 4.30 pm.

Area Wednesday Longer Walk on 2nd January

This walk, which was previously unconfirmed, will be from Entwistle to Bromley Cross and led by Lesley Kenworthy.
