Spirit of Kinder 2019

Despite gale force winds and torrential rain, the 2019 Spirit of Kinder was celebrated at Castleton on 27th April.

There was a short walk up to Winnats Pass, site of many rallies in the days of mass trespasses and campaigns for access.

The walk was followed by a rally at the Peveril Centre. Speakers included Ruth George (MP for High Peak) and Lynn Robinson (BMC President).

Jarvis Cocker was a surprise guest speaker, and recalled childhood memories of visiting the Peak District.
